Hat+Hoodie release their new EP “Gimme Some” on Be Bonkerz. Ever since the French-German duo entered the stage with their debut around a year ago, they gained attention with a series of acclaimed remixes and shows all over. Now they drop their awaited second Ep boasting three top-notch tunes for the advanced UK Bass floor.
Gimme Some is all about craving, about that tearing desire for MORE! that drives you up the wall. You want more, but more of what? The gasping UK Funky-track with the outlandish vibraphone and sweet e-piano stays vague about the object of desire. Sex or love? Music or drugs? Pick your poison and cry for it: Gimme Some!
According to Bowie, authenticity is inauthentic, as everything manmade is per se artificial. But still, we hate fake. Congolese taxi-drivers shout it all day to collect passengers for their 2$ city round trips in adventurously scrappy trucks with rattling sound systems. Rond Point‘s squeeky Kwaito lead rides in circles on jacking tropical beats and deep, heavy bass. Round and round and round you go!
